Cardiac-Related Mortality Following COVID-19 Vaccination in Florida

Reference:

SA “Vaccine” Injury Medico-Legal Study-Group. (2022). Exploring the relationship between all-cause and cardiac-related mortality following COVID-19 vaccination or infection in Florida residents: a self-controlled case series study.

Summary:

This study investigates the risks of all-cause and cardiac-related mortality following COVID-19 vaccinations among Florida residents. It reveals that all participants who died did so within 25 weeks of their
last vaccination. Notably, the study does not compare vaccinated individuals with an unvaccinated control group. A total of 50,947 individuals aged 18 and older died within 25 weeks post-vaccination,
with 9,680 fatalities occurring within the first four weeks. The relative risk of cardiac-related death increased by 84% among males aged 18-39 within 28 days post-vaccination. However, the overall all-cause
mortality risk was not elevated. The findings suggest a modest increase in cardiac-related risk following mRNA vaccinations, particularly among younger males, while highlighting that COVID-19 infection also carries significant mortality risks. The limitations include potential biases due to exclusion criteria and reliance on death certificate data. Further research is recommended to understand the long-term implications of vaccination on mortality.
